Hail Formed Over Evergreen
and Grew All the Way to Denver
The June 1 supercell formed directly over the Evergreen area in the Rocky Mountain foothills before tracking northeast. By the time it reached Golden, hail was already quarter-size. It grew to golf-ball size — 1.75" — across northwest Denver. Today's June 8 system follows the same corridor. Mountain homeowners face two roof-damage events in 8 days.
